This battery is definitely the one that is most compatible with your t-mobile g1 phone. I had purchased the regular battery and the enhanced battery with 1400mAh and this is by far the most powerful and lasts well throughout the day and I could swear it charges faster too. Before I had to charge my phone twice a day with moderate to heavy use. Now I can charge it once and go throughout my day without worrying about if there is an emergency and my phone is dead. The battery does make the phone wider by a slightly larger margin than expected. However, it is well worth my peace of mind.

It works great it can last a full 24 hrs for me, but it does depend on use. The other one would last a few hours and I had to charge it. The only thing that I hate that this extended life battery is significantly fatter and you have to use the new cover which completely changes the look of the phone. I have the G-1 and it works great with this phone. So it comes down to the age old question style vs. substance.

This saved my G1 from the trash can. I was getting about a half day at best out of my old battery. Now I get more that a full day of heavy use including 3G, full screen brightness, and GPS on. Makes the phone bigger but really, it was ugly to begin with.

As many people have experienced, the original G1 battery is horrible. If you actually use the phone with the original battery (surf the web, check the market, use the GPS) the battery will go dead within an few hours. I almost considered getting a new phone.
However, I decided to try one of these batteries since the price was so low and the reviews were pretty good overall.
I am very happy with this battery. I now can use the G1 to its full potential. Even under heavy use of the web, the GPS, and the android market this battery will keep you going all day long (and more). I use my phone to track my long runs with a program that uses the GPS signal. Even after a 4 hour run using the GPS the entire time the battery was only down to about 60%. I used it the rest of the day with no problems and still had around 35% at the end of the day.
Some people have complained about the extra thickness from the new back plate. It is thicker than the original case, but who cares when you can actually use the phone as it was intended.
If you need more juice for your G1 use I highly recommend this battery.

This product came in prmoptly after I ordered it, and the back door came in with the battery.
It slightly adds size to my phone, but for the benefit of a battery that does not die after a couple of hours of use, it's worth it.
