A Solid Over-The-Head Headset Jan 28, 2005
By Pessex I've been using this one now for about 3 years. Very similar in design to the Plantronics M110, but with the addition of an in-line volume control.
It's a sturdy unit, with a comfortable band to go over the head. Doesn't bind or feel uncomfortable when wearing for long periods of time. I don't like the headsets that hang on your ear, or go in the ear canal, so this works best for me.
The in-line volume control is an important addition if you're going to use this with several phones. It helps you go from one cordless phone brand to another, and (especially) to your cell phone.
Not available anymore on Amazon (at least as of this writing), but I did see it on Best Buy's website.

Why bother with blue tooth. Mar 28, 2007

I needed something easy to put on with one hand to use in my car. This works. Good fidelity, adequate volume through the ear piece. Reasonable price.

Useless Product ,Very Disappointed Mar 25, 2007

As another reviewer wrote, the person on the other end can NOT hear you! When is Plantronics going to get it right? I've been through 4 and they just keep failing. Besides the fact that the person can't hear you, the destroy the 2.5 jack in your cordless phone as each time you unplug it, it loosens. I give up on headsets. But I need a reliable one as I do phone work from my home. What's a girl to do???

Comfortable, but too many problems Aug 26, 2008

I bought this headset to use with my Uniden cordless phone. Unfortunately, aside from the hands-free feature and the fact that it is relatively comfortable, this headset has too many issues to recommend it to anyone.
The issues:
After some use, the boom microphone starts to droop and it becomes impossible to keep it directly in front of your mouth. The boom basically falls down near your throat.
The volume control is basically pointless. I had to turn it all the way up and had to turn the volume all the way up on my phone just to hear the other person.
The noise-canceling feature cancels more than just noise. People on the other end often say how difficult it is to hear me and that my voice keeps going in and out.
I gave the product 2 stars because at one point the boom stayed in place, and it is relatively comfortable. But those two factors cannot make up for the poor sound quality.
People looking for this style of headset should consider the Panasonic KX-TCA60, which is about half the price, has better sound quality both on the microphone and earpiece, and has a boom that stays in place for the life of the product (I've had mine for almost 4 years). One downside people will mention is the durability, but mine took about 4 years to break (the headset piece, not the electronics). The good news is they still make it and it only costs $10.

Love the hands free for my portable phone. Comfortable to use but do not connect while using the phone, attach prior to conversation.
