I previously owned the retractable AV cable which at the beginning was convenient but the wire casings were so thin that one pull on the cord instead of the head and its in the trash. This cable is solid, it provides excellent contact points with the best picture and sound clarity available without gold plating. As for the claim that the the connector creates a tight fit to the mp3 player, that is a GOOD thing. The last thing you want is a loose connection causing wear on the mp3 data port and giving you a bad picture. This is without a doubt, the best AV cable for your Zen.

I should have figured this out before I bought this cable, but I don't like that I can't power/charge the unit while it's connected to this playing a movie. A fully charged battery will get through about a movie or two, but once the power gets low, the unit starts to freeze and has to be reset. Other than that, the cable works fine. No changes need to be made to display a picture. Once the cable is plugged into the Vision, it automatically switches to t/v out mode.

Excellent product and quality. Connects Zen vision M to RCA inputs on TV and works flawlessly. The connector that goes into the zen snaps into place so it cannot be pulled out without pressing on each side. Highly recommended.
