Worth every penny Sep 25, 2009 By This Asian guy loves blondes
This is the perfect companion for my BB Bold. No more power cord struggles. To charge, all I do is to put my phone in the cradle and that's it. This pod has a special mechanism which engages the battery charge contact point on the 2 lower sides of the phone. As the phone is inserted into the pod, the weight of the phone pushes the charge points to make contact with the phone. Excellent design!

The Blackberry Bold Charging Pod provides an easy way to charge your blackberry. It also gives you a good digital clock. You can also turn on the alarm function on your Blackberry and get a nice alarm clock.

This item makes owning a blackberry so convenient. I no longer need to have chargers laying around. My Phone doubles as my bedside alarm clock. Before I bought this I had to make sure my BB had enough charge so it would buzz in the morning. I can check my calendar for early morning meetings if I ever need to snooze. When I wake up, my blackberry is charged for the day. That's convenience!
I like the dim white light in the back that guides me to replace the phone on the cradle in the dark. That was a very nice touch. Overall, I think if you have a BB Bold, you need this accessory.

Too large for a Bold 9700 Jul 06, 2010 By Gungfu Dude
The charging pod was really nice looking but it was disappointing that it was too wide for the newer blackberry bold style. The connector was the standard small usb connector where as my Bold has a smaller usb connector as well. I wish it would have worked because it looked so convenient.
