Yes, this charger works as advertised. I honestly can't give it 5 stars because I don't "love it." Why would I love a phone charger? Would you? But I do like it, and it is fully functional.
Also know that the charger DOES have a "smart IC" chip so it won't overcharge your battery. It's really no different than the original one, other than that this one has a red LED that lights up when it's plugged in.
A major annoyance in persuing reviews beforehand was that people didn't say what device it did or didn't work FOR. SO, I have an LG 8350 flip phone:

Received charger that really didn't fit phone, even though it was listed as the correct charger. Charger broke in a matter of minutes. Just showing you get what you pay for! I do not recommend this charger for a VX9400 verizon phone!

When it got lost in the mail, they didn't respond to my several e-mails until I threatened with a negative review. Wonderful customer service these people provide. Eventually they sent a new one and it didn't even work. I ended up going to Best Buy and getting a generic wall charger which works perfectly. I should have done that in the first place.
Also, they begged me to remove my previous negative review if they sent a new charger. Maybe they should have just done everything properly from the beginning so they didn't have to resort to begging.
