great buy Jun 14, 2011
By mikieeimo I bought this because my droid x eats batter like i eat ribs . bottom line i needed more juice on the go and this delivers two full charges in a small easy to carry package . The p790 charges your phone quickly when you are not around wall sockets or in your car.I take it fishing and in the woods with me ,it has served me well . for the price it is the best portable charger on the market . I bought the one made by duracell and it failed to recharge my droid x fully . If you are looking for a well built small portable charger this might be for you .

Great travel item Dec 23, 2011
By MikeyFresh This battery is great for charging anything on the 5 volt USB standard, including cell phones, Bluetooth hands free earpieces, even iPods, although you will need adapters to connect to anything other than a mini USB port. I bought USB mini to micro, and micro to mini adapters, as well as USB A female to mini female so that I can charge both of my phones, Bluetooth hands free, and iPod, as well as charge the battery itself with either a mini or micro charger. Handy for eliminating the need to be tethered to an AC outlet while charging. You can even charge this battery and another device connected to it simultaneously.

Works but skip it for a better product. Jan 20, 2012
By Frank P. Fischer Jr I bought one for less than $8. I wanted it because I have a power hungry smart phone that I am constantly using for work and for play. In airports, amusement parks, at the zoo, etc there is not always a convenient place to charge the phone. This charger has the mini-usb not the micro-usb that is found on the most recent phones of today. This product does work. It has a 1600mah battery that should give one full charge from the low battery warning if the phone is not used while charging. The charging rate is very slow compared to today's high capacity chargers that are shipping with samsung, moto and iphones today. Bottom line- by the time you buy this and buy the adapter cable to attach to your smart phone (I paid another $5), you might as well buy a better portable power source for a few more bucks. And dont forget these devices are new, but they are old stock. Batteries do age, so keep that in mind when calculating value. I also bought a Motorola made P893 which works better, but you will pay more for it and it comes with a wall charger and 2 charge ports. Not to mention you do not need an adapter unless you have an iphone or an older phone. If you can look at or look up the size of your smart phone battery in mah, then if you buy a portable charger with the same mah you will get approximately one full charge out of that portable charger. Your mileage will vary depending on the use of the phone while it is charging.
Handy and cheap Feb 18, 2012
By Robert I use this as an emergency power source for my various gadgets, but mostly my power hungry HTC Evo. It charges it up fine (but requires a mini to micro adapter). This outputs at the typical USB rate of 500mA so charging times can be a bit long. The more powerful AC charges charge at 1000mA. Still, for the price it really can't be beat. The design is nice looking, small, and thoughtful.
Love it. Real life saver when stranded without a chance to recharge Dec 07, 2011
By Clay Butler Smart phones just suck batteries dry. As a power user, there's no way I can get through a day with just one charge. If I can't be assured I can charge on the go, I bring this. Small enough to fit in a jean pocket while connected to your phone. Make sure you also order the Motorola Mini-USB to Micro-USB Charger Adapter or you won't be able to connect it to your phone.
