I was very careful before ordering this to be sure it was going to fit my Original/First Generation/2G iPhone. Nowhere in the product description does it say this is for the 3G, 3GS or 4. In fact, some of the other reviews state that it does not fit the 3G/3GS. So, I was left to assume that it was for the original iPhone. But, when I received the product it was clearly marked "for iPhone 3G/3GS". The seller (UnitedIntegral) confirmed that it is indeed for the 3G/3GS. If you don't already know, screen protectors designed specifically for the 3G/3GS will not fit the original iPhone. I requested and received a full refund from the seller.
For those of you looking for a screen protector that will fit your first gen iPhone search Amazon on "4 Pack LCD Screen Protector Shield Cover for Apple iPhone 1st Generation (NOT for iPhone 3G)". I ordered this, it fits perfect and I'm happy with it.

Scratches show up pretty easily on this protector. It does a decent job of protecting the phone, but still looks kind of crappy. I went ahead and got the Zagg Invisible Shield instead since installing this and it's light years better.

I have used this on my iPhone for well over a year without changing it. There is no interferance with the touch capability, and it hasn't scratched or discolored in any way.
It is truely like it isn't even there while it helps to protect my iPhone's screen.

I lined mine up on the home button of the iPhone. The top hangs over about 1/16". I'm not sure it wasn't made for iPod Touch, and is being sold for both iPhone and Touch.
I have a Speck ToughSkin case for my iPhone, so the overhang of the screen protector isn't an issue for me.

The protector comes with protective film on both sides. Each side is labeled as to which you remove first. You peel the film from the sticky side and put it on the screen, then there is a film protecting the surface of the protector itself.
Also, the seller I bought from only included one screen protector in the package.

when i put it on, I kept getting dust on it everywhere. I had no choice but to throw it away.
