Exactly what i need, just like original Mar 18, 2008
By Claire Chiang

I usually don't talk for that long on this phone, but I'm a heavy pda, texting, and data user, which causes the battery to drain, somtimes through the full charge in one day. The only complaint I had about my wonderful Palm Centro phone was the fact that the battery would sometimes die near the end of the day, before I had the chance to go home to charge it.
Now with this battery, I can alternate between this one and the old one and get through the day without worrying about running out of power.

Genuine but OLD batteries -- don't hold charge Jul 25, 2009
By David Morris Great example of the old saying, "If something looks too good to be true, it probably is." How can the seller offer genuine batteries at 95% off list price? Read on...
I bought 2 since the price was so good, and because of the impossibly great price I wasn't surprised to find a problem right away. NOw these DO seem to be real, honest to goodness Palm batteries with the hologram and everything. But where my usage patterns let my original batter last for about 3 days, one of the batteries was DOA while the other struggled to make 2 full days. The seller was excellent at replacing the defective battery, and for a while things tooled along with the acceptable but noticeably diminished performance. A few weeks ago the replacement battery dropped into the "not quite a day" range, but the seller declined to replace it as their 3 month warranty had expired.
Taking all the evidence together it seems most likely that the seller came across a shipment of expired but official Palm batteries, and realized he could sell them for next to nothing while clearing a profit. It would be nice to have admitted this up front, but I can't complain too much since I have a functioning battery that cost me about $10 delivered. Just remember that it took me THREE batteries to get that ONE that worked no more than 70% as well as the original did!

Easy to use but short time between charges Sep 12, 2009
By D. DEGEORGE Whether one blames it on the design of the Centro itself or on the battery, the length of time a Centro can run on this battery is too short. After a few months of use a Centro battery will barely sustain the device for a 12-hr. day even if no calls are made (and that's without Bluetooth's being active, which makes things worse). The time between charges can be improved by disconnecting the phone from the mobile service provider when you don't need it, provided you don't need it to be active for incoming calls, and de-activating Bluetooth when not needed.
I don't know that there's much that can be done about this with current (pun intended, sort of) technology. Batteries are charged (there I go again) with providing more and longer power as each processor runs faster and a single device serves as a PIM/PDA, telephone, camera, MP3 player, data repository, and auxiliary brain for its user, at the same time as those very same marvels get even lighter & more compact, leaving little room for the battery, which occupies a significant portion of the device.
The battery slips easily into the Centro or a separate charger. I highly recommend buying a spare battery with charger--that combination is available--especially if you plan to use the phone for playing MP3s too. The good news about the battery's being small, which of course is why it doesn't last long throughout the day, is that you can stick a spare in your wallet, pocket, or purse without much bother. A car charger is also helpful to give your heavily utilized Centro a second wind during the day. If you plan to travel with it--and that's obviously when the device is at its most helpful, carry along enough charged-up spares to get you between home and hotel power outlets. Under travel conditions you may want to have at least one charger for every two batteries; the chargers fortunately aren't much bigger than the battery, except for the cord.

New/cheap/and on time Aug 14, 2009

The battery came in an OEM package, looked new other than a few marks on the side were it plugs into the phone. I charged mine the day i received it and it lasted 2-3days with minor usage. The standby rating is way way way off but i think its over rated on all batteries like this. Oh and i bought 2 of these and they are both the same for duration and usage.
