It provides easy access to your smartphone thanks to a built-in thumb groove: just give your BlackBerry Curve a gentle tug and it slides out smoothly. Plus, it features a battery-saving proximity sensor that shuts off the screen backlight as soon as you slide your smartphone into place. The sensor also allows you to switch automatically to different notification settings (for ringing, vibration or both) based on whether your smartphone is in or out of its case. | | | |

Great Case Oct 31, 2007
By V. Nguyen At last, a case that is protective, looks professional and isn't too big. This case is everything I expected it to be - sleek, protective of both phone body and screen, inexpensive and ideal for holding a Blackberry inside a purse. It also features an internal channel to accommodate the camera on the back. Bonus points for the lack of bulky belt clip. This is not a case for those who would want to wear their device on a holster.
Yes, you can't see the screen or touch the buttons while in the case, but that is easily accomplished by sliding Blackberry out via the handy-dandy notch on top, sized just right for thumb and forefinger. Much better than the silicon skins, which I found attract dust and screen films that are difficult to put on perfectly (and dust finds its way into the edges of the sticky film as well).
BargainCell was also A+. Order was placed late evening PDT, they shipped the next business day and arrived in retail-shelf condition as pictured, well ahead of Amazon's delivery estimate. Packing list inside included simple return instructions and a coupon for your next order.

Cheap Materials but Does the Job May 26, 2009

I purchased this case as a replacement for the case my dog chewed up. While I have no doubt that this is an OEM product (my wife recently purchased a BlackBerry Curve that shipped with the exact same case), I have to say that it is of a lower quality than the case that came with the BlackBerry I purchased more than a year ago. The vinyl is thinner, it puckers along the seams (especially on the bottom), and, instead of having a nice rubbery coating, the edges are rough. This case will do the job (and the price was right) but I won't miss it when I finally replace my phone.

Does exactly what it says on the label. Mar 16, 2011
By William Buthod It's not fancy, but it's dirt cheap, it's small, and it protects your precious crackberry whilst it loiters in your pocket.
I've purchased - and rejected - multiple means of protection and conveyance for my 8330, and I keep coming back to the svelte leather sleeve that came in the box with the phone. It's uncomplicated and does it's job perfectly.
I only wish it were easier to deploy the phone one-handed when it's in the case, in my pocket, and I'm not using a bluetooth headset (about 90%). I can do it, but not before the 3rd ring.

Great case for the new Curve 9300 Oct 23, 2010
By Michael Levitt Since BlackBerry no longer provides cases with their phones, I had to order a case that would fit my new Curve 9300, but not one that would attached via belt clip.
Great case!

lNot an OEM product, missing magnet Mar 01, 2010
By Paul DeGroot

This is not like the original BlackBerry product. It does not include the magnet, which locks the phone when you insert it in the case. As a result, I have to manually lock the phone when I put it in the case, to avoid inadvertant key presses.
