Product codes are the same product! Jul 01, 2008
By wiimi FYI, this product, SDSDQR-8192-A11M, is the same as Sandisk 8GB MicroSDHC Memory Card w/ MobileMate Reader (SDSDQR-8192-E11M, Retail Package), the only difference is the region it was sent to. "A" being for America and "E" for Europe. The products are no different (spoke with Sandisk directly). Be aware that some sellers are selling the E11M for more $$$. Check your product code when product arrives to make sure you are getting what you ordered.

Works great on Blackberry curve 8310 Jul 16, 2008
By Ramesh K. Manni
"mrrame"
Blackberry curve 8310 with 4.2 build recognize only 4gb. If you format this card in Curve you will get only 4gb. Format (ntfs) using Windows and then insert it into blackberry to use the whole 8 gb.
If I go to Options->Media Card -> mine says Total space available 7.5GB

Greatest card reader ever!!! Apr 24, 2008
By Gavin C. Chmielewski
"Theology&Computers"
I bought this in place of a normal thumb drive. I once had a thumb drive that broke after a couple days of use and I lost all the data. Since then I have been using card readers, that way if I break the drive I still have the card. Also, in a couple of years when the SDHC cards get better SDHC card readers are upgradeable to 2 terabytes cards. It is a good system.
The round part of the card reader is almost the size of a dime and about 4 dimes thick and only 1.25 inches long. It is smaller then most of my keys. It fits even the tightest USB ports. It is so small, I don't even notice it on my key chain.
The only down side I could think of is that the USB port doesn't have a dust cover. Currently, I have not gotten any dirt in their but it could happen. Even if they did include one I wouldn't use it anyway.

Item received not what is described or pictured - Not class 4 no microreader Jan 02, 2009
By Dennis D I ordered this based on the description and picture of an 8GB class 4 MicroSDHC with a micro reader. That's what SanDisk partnumber SDSDQR-8192-A11M is supposed to be and the picture on Amazon clearly shows a class 4 card with a micro reader. However what I received was an older class 2 card and no reader and was Sandisk partnumber SDSDQ-008G-A11M. When I tried to process my return for a refund I was told I would have to talk to customer service and that they would do an exchange only. Not being sure I'd ever receive the right item I talked to customer service and they allowed me to return the item for a full refund.

Excellent Card, May 31, 2008
By Ali Alkhatib In about a year I'm going to look back on this comment and think to myself what a fool I was, but WOW, 8 GB in such a small form factor. This is truly incredible. The write speeds were "okay", not great, but I'm not trying to use it as a flash drive on a regular basis or anything. It works fantastically with the USB dongle that comes with the card( which is also small), and all in all the card was a good purchase. The reader was an added( though necessary) bonus, as it reads MicroSDHC cards and fits in your pocket while taking hardly any space at all.
Some quick data about the card that I had( I'm sure you could Google this, but if it's all in one place, that's good too, right?): Minimum transfer Rate: 4.2 MB/sec Maximum Transfer Rate: 18.5 MB/sec Average Transfer Rate: 10.2 MB/sec
Access Time: 6.4 ms Burst Rate: 3.9 MB/sec
Also another quick note: This might be obvious to most people (as it should be if you've bought flash or disk memory before), but you'll only be getting 7786 MB (not 8 GB). It's not a big deal, but if you're buying this card for a 7.9 GB file or something like that, you'll need to look elsewhere for your massive-file-storing needs.
Tl;dr I thoroughly appreciate the card, but the transfer speeds are too low for me to give it top marks.
